 Where are the (Enlightenment) Women?

Sara Sheridan, author of Historic Environment Scotland’s landmark publication, Where are the Women? joins us to talk about the need to memorialise the women of the Enlightenment. Widely lauded, Allan Massie reviewing the book in the Scotsman said ‘It will deepen your knowledge of Scotland, even in many cases of your own city, town, village or countryside, and enrich your travels’ and Lynsey May in the List ‘It’s astonishing how different the country seems when its monuments, streets and statues are renamed’.
Sheridan undertook extensive research to create a Scotland that acknowledges its female history, join us for what will prove a fascinating hour, delving into the varied lives of the women of the Enlightenment.
